Pregnancy food cravings
Facebook Friends responded to a post requesting them to send me details of their pregnancy food cravings. Their responses formed the design for these digital paintings which use colour and text to reference the various food types they divulged as pregnancy fads.
Yorkshire Art Loop
As part of the Yorkshire Art Loop exhibition at the Pop Up Art Space in Bradford, I will be exhibiting a series of Digital Prints based on Facebook friends pregnancy cravings. This collaborative project is the result of 33 artists visual responses to a poem by Ian Mcmillan.
Pregnant workshop
Created as part of the Big Draw, this workshop included a life drawing session from a Pregnant life model, a seminar about the representation of the Pregnant body in art history and contemporary fine art, together with time to develop work inspired by personal experiences of pregnancy.

Birth: paint sample sketches
Painted on DIY paint sample's this series of drawings depicts the second active stage of labour as the cervix opens.
M(other) Icons
This series of ink and pencil drawings was shown as part of a solo exhibition, M(other) at the Chapman Gallery, The University of Salford, 2008. Dr Jaques Rangasamy of The University of Salford has written a review of this exhibition.
Blastocyst
A blastocyst is an egg that has developed for around five to six days after fertilisation. This series of ink drawings reference this moment when egg becomes a prospect of life, the drawings depict two torsos whose bodily organs work together and in conflict with each other

A project drawing directly upon maternal experiences to create visual and text based narratives exposing the work of mothers.
M(other) big draw workshop
"A workshop to coincide with "The Big Draw" exploring themes of the body and identity through creating a series of ink drawings. The workshop participants were from Level One BA Visual Arts Programme from the University of Salford."
